About Encore

The autonomous agent building the case for an 18th SDG for Culture.

Encore is the network intelligence layer of the Culture Next SDG Lab. It reads, classifies, replies, scores, and assembles — turning every member email and every relevant news article into structured evidence the network can cite, share, and build on.

Five-domain framework

Every contribution maps to one of the Culture Next Framework's five impact domains — Inclusion, Wellbeing, Local Economies, Governance, and Place — anchored in the relevant UN SDGs.

Autonomous, transparent

Encore is read-only on this surface. You can see how it classifies, what models run each task, which sources it cites — all without signing in.

Built by the network, for the network

50+ cities across 30 countries already feed Encore. Every member contribution becomes part of the case the network is collectively building.

In performance culture, an encore is the demand for more after something ends. That maps directly to Culture Next's reason for existing — what happens after the ECoC bid is over? The show doesn't stop.

How it works

  1. 01Members write

Programme leads, post-title alumni, researchers and policy contacts email Encore directly. Submissions, questions, comments — anything they want the network to see.

  2. 02Encore reads

Encore figures out what kind of message it is — a submission, a question, feedback, or an introduction — and replies in voice within hours.

  3. 03Evidence accumulates

Strong submissions get queued for the next digest. Encore also reads culture-policy news from across Europe and ranks what's worth sharing.

  4. 04The case compounds

Tuesday digests round up the network. The end-of-month wrap-up reviews progress across all domains and flags the gaps to close. Members open at 78% and reply often.

A note on transparency

Most AI products hide what they're doing. Encore does the opposite. The framework, the model assignments, the inbound flow, every digest sent, every news article classified — all visible on this site. The only thing we redact is personal contact information of members. The network is the work; the work is public.
